The Campari Sun
Will and Will were in town for the Chest Hair Friday corporate retreat when we were invited to a birthday party at the Italian American Bocce Club of New Orleans. Our hosts encouraged us to bring whatever it was we wanted to drink, so we started discussing drinking options. That discussion was short. There is only one beverage to bring to a bocce ball birthday. That beverage is the Campari Sun.
The Campair Sun is an easy drinking play on the shandy. The bitter citrus flavors of the grapefruit and Campari are blended away by the beer, leaving nothing but a crisp finish. Served cold, it’s a refreshing party beverage that’s great to pre-make and keep on ice in the biggest bucket you can find.
Three or four of them is the magic number for bocce ball success. Any less, you aren’t loose enough. Any more, you are too loose.
